We are transforming underutilized plantain stems into eco-friendly, durable, and soft fabrics.

Meet Fibrelux

Our

Story.

Fibrelux was founded with a vision to create sustainable and economically viable solutions for Ghana's agricultural waste. We recognized the potential of plantain pseudo-stems and developed a process to transform them into beautiful, durable fabrics.

Our Guiding

Principles

Our vision is to revolutionize the textile industry with sustainable, plantain-based fabrics, empowering a greener future for fashion and beyond.

Our mission is to design, produce, and deliver high-quality, eco-friendly textiles that exceed our customers' expectations, while promoting sustainable agriculture, reducing waste, and fostering community development.

We are revolutionizing the textile industry by transforming underutilized plantain pseudo stems into high-quality, sustainable fabrics.

1. The Problem

Addressing

Plantain Waste.

In Ghana’s Bono and Ahafo regions, an estimated 92,427,750 plantain pseudo stems are left to degrade annually after harvest. Meanwhile, the textile industry spends millions—$14.62 million in 2019 alone—importing fabrics, straining local resources and economies.

2. Our Solution

From Stem to

Sustainable Fabric.

Fibrelux transforms these discarded stems into durable, eco-friendly fabrics. By harnessing agricultural waste, we reduce environmental impact and provide a cost-effective alternative to imported textiles.

3. Key Benefits
